IMPORTANT DATES FOR LEAVING CERT 2019

Due to the changes to this years timetable the dates for checking of exam scripts has changed.

Below is taken directly from the State Examinations Commission website in the Candidate Information Booklet. A copy of this booklet is also available (in digital form only) from the NPCpp office by emailing [email protected].

It is important to note that no application will be considered if received after the deadline dates below.

KEY RESULTS, VIEWING AND APPEAL DATES 2019

LEAVING CERTIFICATE RESULTS

In Schools: In schools Tuesday 13^th August

Candidate self-service portal: 10 am Tuesday 13^th August

APPLICATION TO VIEW SCRIPTS

In Schools: online service only

Candidate self-service portal: Opens 9am Wednesday 14th August Closes 5pm Friday 16th August

ACCESS TO COMPONENT MARKS

In Schools: Online service only

Candidate self-service portal: Shown with results from 9am Wednesday 14th August

VIEWING OF SCRIPTS

In schools: If you wish to view a script marked on paper you will be assigned to 1 of 3 sessions:

Tuesday 20th August 5pm – 8pm

Wednesday 21st August 9am – 12pm

Wednesday 21st August 2pm – 5pm

Candidate self-service portal: For scripts that were marked online you will have access to view over the period of 5pm Tuesday 20th – Wednesday 21st August

APPEAL APPLICATION (SUBJECT TO A FEE)

In Schools: online service only

Candidate self-service portal: Opens at 5pm Friday 16th August Closes at 5pm Thursday 22nd August

APPEALS RESULTS

In Schools: Online service only

Candidate self-service portal: In the week ending Friday 20th September

To accommodate this earlier issuing of Leaving Certificate appeals, the deadlines for applying to view scripts and for appealing results are immutable. Under no circumstances will late applications be accepted.

What are the key dates for the Post Appeal Results Service?

APPLICATION FOR VIEWING OF SCRIPTS FOLLOWING THE APPEAL RESULTS ISSUE

An application form will be available with the Appeal results online

Form must be returned by e-mail before 5pm on Monday 23^rd September

VIEWING OF SCRIPTS THAT WERE APPEALED

Online and paper marked appeal scripts will be available to view on request. The viewing of both paper marked and online marked scripts will be held in Athlone

The dates for this is Saturday 28^th September from 9am – 4.30 pm. Venue to be confirmed

APPLICATION TO THE INDEPENDENT APPEAL SCRUTINEERS

An application form will be available with the Appeal results online. Not necessary to view the appealed script to make an application

Form returned by email before 5pm on Friday 27^th September. Candidates attending the viewing can submit the form at the viewing session on the 28^th September
