Dear Parents/Guardians/Students,

On behalf of National Parents’ Council Post Primary (NPCpp) I wish to extend our sincere congratulations and best wishes to all Leaving Cert, Leaving Cert applied and LCVP students who will receive their results today. I hope they achieve the grade they expected and will further their skills either through college or otherwise as they choose to set out in life.

 

No doubt this is worrying times for all. We at NPCpp run the Leaving Cert Helpline every year so as to help both parents and students with queries regarding results. This is staffed by professional members of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors and will endeavour to help and assist in everyway possible to address the many concerns surrounding the results. This can be anything from calculating points,course advice,CAO applications, recheck etc,. The Counsellors are on stand by to take your call no matter what. They will endeavour to answer any concerns or uncertainty you may have or otherwise in relation to your exam results.

It is a major day in life given that all students have given 5 or 6 years in post primary school to achieve these grades so as to further into careers in life.It is a day that some will remember as a happy occsaion, but for other this may not be the case.

 

And if you do not achieve the grade you had anticipated or otherwise, do not be dissappointed. There is always hope and may be another option to achieve your desired course or path in life.

As students I hope you are happy with your achievements and as parents I hope you are proud of your son/daughter, spouse relative or friend with their results. Let them know how proud of them you are.This is a time they may need this care to be shown and given to them.

Tuesday: 18^th August, 8am – 7pm

Wednesday: 19^th August, 8am – 1pm
