National Parents’ Council Postprimary (NPCpp) Press Release 3 – 6 - 2009
05/06/2009

National Parents’ Council Postprimary (NPCpp)  is very angry because of the blunder made by a supervisor in relation to the handing out of Paper 2 in English in one centre today. Due to this mistake our students have to sit their rescheduled English Paper 2 on Saturday.
Students have conditioned themselves to accept the timetable drawn up by the Department of Education and Science/Exam Commission. Many of them were sighing with relief at the thought of English being completed by tomorrow.
This now prolongs the agony until Saturday.
Students’ emotional and psychological states of mind are also being compromised due to the transport situation. We call on the DES to facilitate students by arranging with the transport providers to bring students to their exam centres as on a normal school day.
